Surge in Bankruptcy

2008 has seen a surge in bankruptcy petitions and these are expected to continue to rise in 2009. Only 3 have been registered which suggests that settlement is being reached before court.

the status of co-habiting couples

There is no legislation to regulate co-habiting couples. They do not enjoy the same rights as married couples, no matter how long they have lived together.

 

This could cause serious hardship for a cohabitant on the termination of their relationship or on the death of their partner.

Reddy Charlton McKnight Centenary Celebrations
In the sporting surroundings of Croke Park on 4 November, the celebratory evening 'kicked off' with a tour of the stadium; a lovely treat, especially for our visiting friends and colleagues from the Interleges Group who travelled from Lebanon, New York, Milan and London. With Tom Marren, Partner, ably filling the shoes of Master of Ceromonies, rousing speeches were delivered by Paul Keane, Managing Partner, and President Elect of Interleges, Outgoing President, Salim El Meouchi and Hugh Cawley of Croke Park. The evening was 'signed off', with a beautiful memento to all, from Newbridge Silverware.
