Tension in Nigeria has seen oil prices leap in recent sessions. OPEC was planning to introduce a price-supportive supply cut in March. If the interuptions continue in Nigeria, coupled with the possibility of a cut of this magnitude, oil prices may retest their highs.

Following a fire at its Rough facility last week, Centrica has confirmed that it does not envisage re-opening the storage site for another month. This caused a spike in gas prices to the highest levels for a month.

Meanwhile, the European Commission announced proposals to crack down on anti-competitive behaviour amongst Member States.

Carbon market liquidity dropped slightly last week with an average 2.2 Mton per day trading. The week started of on a bearish note with EUA06s dropping from €26.65/tCO2 on Feb.10th to €26.20/tCO2 on Feb.13th. Later in the week prices rebounded to €26.70/tCO2.
